EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a research engineer, you are expected to do the followings: 
•Understand business requirements with the support of business experts and translate them into technical requirements, models and software architecture.
•Resolve complex issues in research projects, being responsible for the comprehensive architectures in those projects.
•Facilitate the work transfer into the product organization. 


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
•Master or above degree in computer science, software engineering, statistics, mathematics, or relevant information technology area
•Fluent in oral and written English
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
•Innovative thinking with good sense of customer focus and business acumen
•Good knowledge of Unix/Linux system architecture, high performance database, and C/C++/Java programming language
•Having software engineering fundamentals with good analytic and problem solving skills;
•Ability to translate complex business problems to technical problems;
•Ability to evaluate the applicability of applying academic research in resolving concrete business problems;
•Good communication skills, being capable of aligning with executives, customers and other stakeholders, communicating on a strategic level with external research ecosystems, and performing efficient internal and cross team coordination


WORK EXPERIENCE
•3  or more years of large scale software development/architecture design experience is required;
•Experience with high performance computing, system architecture design, big data processing, distributed computing, performance tuning is a big plus;
•Any securities trading system product R&D management experience is appreciated;
•Any scientific/research project experience is appreciated;
