Staff Software Engineer

Qualifications Desired: 

Education: 
BSEE/BSCS required. MSEE/MSCS desired.
	
Experience: 
5 to 8+ years of professional experience as a hands-on software engineer.

Skills (Hardware, Software, Machine operations, etc.):
Mandatory:
OOP Design Patterns
Full familiarity with the TCP/IP networking stack from both network and application points of view
Network side, e.g. the ability to debug based on packet captures
Application side, e.g. BSD sockets API
Python, with experience in Python web development frameworks preferred.
C++, with experience in templates, STL, boost libraries, and multi-threaded programming (POSIX threads) preferred.
Expertise with Unix-like operating systems, with experience in Linux specifically preferred.
Expertise with Virtual Machines, with experience in KVM and QEMU preferred.
Work effectively with team members in a multi-site development environment.

Desirable
Web development experience with LAMP, HTML5, CSS, etc.
Embedded Linux development using C, with experience in low-level hardwire driver debugging preferred.
Experience with Agile development practices
Experience in benchmarking network devices
